Read and Follow the Treated Seed Label

April 30, 2019
This image shows a Syngenta worker reviewing seed treatment labels in a warehouse.

With planting underway in some regions and quickly approaching in others, it’s not too late for an important stewardship reminder: Always read and follow label directions when using treated seed. Reading product labels prior to each season is a must, as they provide important directions for handling, storing, planting and disposing of treated seed.

For growers who may be following a similar planting regimen as past seasons, it is still necessary to read the label prior to planting. Since seed treatment technologies are continually evolving to better serve farmers, product labels are updated to reflect product enhancements and formulations.
