NORTHEAST: The dry, hot summer came with many challenges, but harvest has finally arrived. That also means it’s time to start thinking about disease prevention to preserve both fruit quality and return on investment.

Prevention begins in the orchard and must be continued right through storage. Orchard sanitation, harvesting at the proper maturity, minimization of fruit bruising, and proper fungicide sprays in the orchard and at the storage facility can protect apple crops.
