Tavium® Plus VaporGrip® Technology herbicide offers multiple effective sites of action to help you stay ahead of resistant weeds. Now available for 2019.

As resistant weeds continue to spread and develop resistance to more sites of action, new herbicides should not be treated as a silver bullet for resistant weed control. Instead, they should be looked at as an addition to an integrated, comprehensive weed management program.

To help diversify your herbicide program, we are excited to announce that Tavium Plus VaporGrip Technology herbicide has been registered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. As the market’s first premix residual dicamba herbicide, Tavium contains best-in-class control to manage resistant weeds and maintain clean fields throughout the season.

Tavium is a premix formulation of dicamba and S-metolachlor, offering growers a convenient new tool to manage key ALS-, PPO- and glyphosate-resistant broadleaf and grass weeds for Roundup Ready 2 Xtend^® Soybeans and Bollgard II^® XtendFlex^® Cotton.

The addition of S-metolachlor to dicamba in a premix formulation delivers another site of action to manage resistance. Other benefits of Tavium include:

1. Convenient premix formulation.
2. Management of emerged weeds through contact activity.
3. Control of weeds that have yet to emerge with residual activity.
4. Three weeks longer residual control than dicamba alone, as well as a second layer of effectiveness against weeds.
5. Complement to all tillage systems and various geographies for both pre- and early post-emergence applications.

We recommend applying Tavium as part of a 2-pass system in order to preserve the efficacy of dicamba technology. It’s also important to use sound resistance management principles – starting clean and using diversified management and agronomic practices – to help preserve the technology for the future.
