Help Your Soybeans Emerge Victorious

Saltro®-treated soybean rows at the York, NE, Grow More™ Experience site.
One of the top U.S. soybean yield-robbers, Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS) can cause devastating yield loss without warning. The disease infects soybeans early in the season, but symptoms don’t begin to appear until after flowering – when it’s too late for effective protection. Seed treatments are crucial for protecting soybeans from SDS, as well as helping soybeans start the season strong at emergence.
Our York, NE, Grow More™ Experience site trials offer a firsthand look at how different SDS seed treatments compare. Soybeans were treated with CruiserMaxx® Vibrance® seed treatment plus Saltro fungicide seed treatment and CruiserMaxx Vibrance plus ILEVO® seed treatment.
While SDS symptoms won’t appear until roughly late August, we can see the upgrade Saltro provides at emergence with healthy plants, better established plant stands and consistent plant-to-plant uniformity. The Saltro-treated soybeans emerged quickly and evenly, while the ILEVO-treated row has more late-emerging soybeans. Six weeks out from planting, you can still see a slight height difference when comparing the 2 seed treatments below.

We highly recommend protecting your soybeans with Saltro to start the season with strong emergence and end with strong yield at harvest. By delivering superior SDS protection and robust nematode activity without the early-season stress, Saltro helps soybeans realize their full genetic yield potential. Across 4 years of trials, Saltro-treated soybeans had a 4 bu/A yield improvement over ILEVO under SDS pressure.[1]
