With weed resistance continuing to sweep across U.S. wheat and barley fields, growers must find new ways to combat weeds that rob their yields and profits. Growers are finding that particularly troublesome broadleaf weeds are showing resistance to ALS-inhibitor, synthetic auxin and glyphosate herbicides.

Growers should plan their 2018 herbicide programs knowing that weed resistance will be an ongoing issue. It is key to plan on using a herbicide that can be counted on for superior control of resistant broadleaf weeds.

After a strong first year on the market, Talinor™ herbicide has proven itself consistently effective against broadleaf weed biotypes that show resistance to other herbicides, with some growers finding that it outperformed competitors like Huskie® Complete. In 2017, Talinor was tested in 34 R&D trials and at 7 Grow More Experience sites across the U.S. that demonstrated excellent performance on broadleaf weeds such as lambsquarters, redroot pigweed, Russian thistle and hairy nightshade. Retailers and crop consultants reported excellent control of problem weeds like kochia, wild buckwheat and annual sowthistle.
