BeSure! to Remember the Label is the Law
As the East and West coasts welcome the 2020 growing season, it’s not too late for an important stewardship reminder about using treated seeds. Agronomist Garrett Gilcrease provides more information:
Pesticides applied as seed treatments undergo rigorous testing and review by federal and state regulators to ensure their safety to applicators, wildlife and the environment. Be sure to do your part and always read and follow the label directions, even if the product has been used before.
Labels provide precise information about how to safely use, handle, store and dispose of treated seed. And, because seed treatment technologies are continually evolving to better serve growers, product labels are updated to reflect product enhancements and formulations. When in doubt, the label on the product is the law.
