Alert: Pests Spotted in Arkansas

July 31, 2017

Arkansas – According to entomologist Dr. Gus Lorenz, in rice, cotton and soybeans there have been sightings of:

  • Nymphs
  • Red banded stink bugs
  • bollworms
  • Bean leaf beetles
  • Spider mites
  • Aphids
  • Plant bugs

Red banded stink bugs are teetering on the edge of threshold. The threat of spider mite populations is increasing, so getting ahead of the problem is crucial. To hear more about the pests and management solutions, listen to Dr. Lorenz’s Pest Patrol update.

For fields that have reached threshold levels, consider Syngenta insecticides like Agri-Mek® SC and Endigo® ZC.
