Acuron GT Weeds Out The Competition

November 30, 2021
Acuron® GT shows that it can provide clean rows for your corn

Acuron® GT herbicide shows that it can provide clean rows for your corn. Syngenta trials in WI, 2021.

This year at our Grow More™ Experience site in Lamartine, WI, we’ve seen how Acuron® GT post-emergence corn herbicide controls the area’s most stubborn weeds late into the season.

The bicyclopyrone (BIR) component of Acuron GT, in combination with mesotrione and its other active ingredients, helps provide faster knockdown, enhanced control of yield-robbing weeds and longer-lasting residual in glyphosate tolerant corn.

In this year’s trials, in comparison to the other herbicides, such as Resicore®, the row treated with Acuron GT looked clean and weed-free. Acuron GT outperforms other post-emergence herbicides because it contains the unique active ingredient BIR.

BIR is a unique component that is 1 of 4 active ingredients found in Acuron. Combined with the other active ingredients, bicyclopyrone enables Acuron to deliver more powerful and more consistent management of tough weeds, including giant ragweed, kochia, Palmer amaranth and waterhemp, across soil types and geographies.

Here are some comparisons of what we saw in 2 different Lamartine, WI trials in 2021:

Acuron GT compared to Capreno

During this bare-ground trial, it is clear to see how well Acuron GT control weeds over time, in comparison to Capreno®. The photos were taken 67 days after treatment.

Acuron vs. Resicore

During this head-to-head trial Acuron GT clearly outperforms Resicore 26 days after treatment.
