    Naval orangeworm pressure high in almonds, pistachios

    CALIFORNIA: Reports of high trap counts of navel orangeworm (NOW) across California’s almond and pistachio orchards should have growers on alert. Warm overwintering conditions and hot temperatures this spring are the likely culprits. Growers are urged to apply an insecticide like Proclaim® along with an insecticide/miticide like Agri-Mek® SC now through mid-May to combat this pest.
