    ALERT: Banded sunflower moth found in North Dakota

    NORTH DAKOTA: A few weeks ago we referenced this link on the banded sunflower moth migration. Now, I’m finding moth larvae in the Wilton and New Salem areas. As the photo above shows, the damage is clear for those who did not scout and/or treat. Once the banded sunflower moth has laid its eggs, the larva will only feed on the surface of the sunflower head for a short time before burrowing into the seeds….
