  • With corn planted, take notes for next year

    MIDWEST: There’s been a tremendous amount of corn planting in northeast Illinois, and the crops are getting up and out of the ground in seven to ten days thanks to warm soils and plenty of sunshine. It’s a good time to get out now to take your stand counts (if you can) and see how your planter was dropping. Take notes for next year. As always, it’s also a great time to scout for pests….
