    CHAMBERLIN, S.D. – As usual, sunflower maturity varies from early bud (R-2) to 50 percent flowered (R-5.5).  Recent prolonged moisture and warm temperatures have created an environment ripe for most fungal diseases, including rust, which I saw in a couple of fields just this week.
