First hay cutting is done: What’s next?

WISCONSIN: Driving around the western part of the state during the last week has revealed that many growers have been able to take their first cutting of hay. Now is the perfect time to remember fungicide applications and the exceptional yield response they can have on new regrowth.

It’s also important to continue monitoring leafhopper activity, as some insecticides can easily be used in mixture with the right fungicide to create one application that defends and protects against insect and disease pressure.

Applications should occur when you have ample regrowth, but allow for a 14-day pre-harvest interval. Not all fungicides and insecticides are created equal. Please see your Syngenta representative for product and rate recommendations.
