Use care when treating seed in preparation for planting

Treating seed potatoes

MIDWEST: Seed treatment is in high gear as planting approaches. It does not matter what crop you are treating – in our case, we are treating seed potatoes with CruiserMaxx® Potato Extreme insecticide/fungicide – equipment setup, calibration, treatment uniformity, coverage and proper handling are critical in maximizing stand and yield.

Keep accurate, precise notes and records on application conditions, lot numbers and date treated, along with storage conditions of the seed after treatment. Good records are a must when evaluating the efficacy and the value of seed treatments when harvest arrives.

Contact your local retailer, agronomic service representative or extension specialist if you have any questions.
